(2015) Fulbright Scholar. Ubon Ratchathani University, Mukdahan, Thailand.
Project Title: Planning and implementing information communication technologies to improve access to education: Exploring the use and effects of e-learning resources that connect rural secondary schools to a regional university.
The project proposes to; 1) tailor an ICT curriculum that introduces IT entrepreneurship 2) create distributed learning resource centers supported by a Learning Management System 3) provide underserved populations with online education resources 4) to provide seminars for faculty.

(2013) Guardian of the Flame Award, Burning Spear.
Created by Burning Spear in 2008, the Guardian of the Flame Faculty Award closes the gap between students and faculty by fostering better relationships at the Florida State University. The award has become a true symbol of excellence by recognizing an outstanding faculty member each spring term at a private ceremony from every college and school whose contributions have shown a dedication to our University and who, through their work, have made a commitment to advancing the Florida State University as a leading institution of higher education.

(2012) Transformation Through Teaching, Center for Global Engagement Spiritual Life Project.
The Spiritual Life Project works to celebrate evidence of meaning, purpose and authenticity within the FSU community. Transformation Through Teaching is a recognition designed to honor full-time faculty who have had an intellectual, inspirational, and integrative impacts on the lives.

(2011) Top 5 Papers, International Communication Association .
The paper "The acceptability of teaching certificates in hiring situations: A comparison of certificates earned online, partly online and in residential programs" was recognized as one of the "Top 5 Papers" in the Instructional and Developmental Communication Division.

(2009) 1rst prize in the faculty paper competition, Association for Education, Journalism, and Mass Communication. ($100).

(2005) 3rd Prize; Educate and Inform category, Broadcast Education Association International Festival of Film, Video and Media Arts, Interactive Multimedia competition.
This project was a series of 6 games embedded in a story. Authored with James Richardson, a master's student in the College of Communication at the time of the event. Project name: You Can Too.

(2003) Award of Excellence in the Persuade/Sell category, Broadcast Education Association Faculty International Festival of Film, Video and Media Arts Competition.
Role: Product Design and Software Developer. Project Name: Florida State University Interactive and New Communication Technologies program. Authored with Katrina Ferguson, a master's student with the College of Communication at the time of the event.

(2003) Bronze Medal, The Horizon Interactive Award.
Project name: Diabetic Foot Disease Role: Developer. Authored with Lacativa, Anna, a master's student in the College of Communication. The Horizon Awards is a prestigious international competition recognizing outstanding achievement among interactive media producers.
